Scoring system

There are currently 3 different types of scoring system "List", "List with total points" and "Relative total points". For each scoring system there are additional options that makes it possible to get many different variants of scoring system. What you use depends on how you prefer to allocate points to different results.
For "List" and "List with total points", there are two levels of results. "Main results" and "Sub results". This can, for example, be sets and games in racket sports. However, it can be called something else in another sport.
Choosing the "List with total points" or "Relative total points" means that all points will be summed up to the figure you set in total points. For example, if you have set 10 as total points and the result you enter only gives 4 points to player 1 and 2 points to player 2, according to your configuration. The sum of match points is only 6, and therefore the system will add 4 points. 2 points each. The final points will then be 6-4 in this case. Should your result ever give more than 10 points, the points will not change.
You can choose to manage your results in two ways. "Simplified" and "Advanced". In most cases, it is best to use of the simplified results management. This means, among other things, that if you create a result 3-1 with points 5-2, the system creates a mirror result 1-3 with points 2-5. If you need to rename the menus or get a very specific sorting then you may need to use the advanced management.
In addition to this, you can choose how you want the total points to be calculated. Only with points from main results, only with points from sub results or both. This is set using the blue "Manage Results" button.
How the final score is calculated depends on how you have set the score to be summed up. You can choose from the following:
Main results
Sub results
Both
If you select "Main Results", only the points are summarized from the main results. If you select "Sub results", then only the points from the sub results are summarized. The exception is WO (walk over) or NS (no show). Then the score is always calculated from the main result. The last option, "Both", points from both the main results and the sub results are summarized.
To add a new result to the results list, click the plus sign in the top right corner. You will then end up in edit mode, which is the same as pressing the pen.
The column "Status" says whether the result is active or not, ie if it is displayed to the user. "Results" and "Points" shows the result to be entered and what this gives in points (depending on your choise in "Sum up points"). In "Group" column, you can enter a text for a some results to group them together. This can be used for less used results, or incomplete results.
To change the sorting of results, you can either click the arrows up or down. Alternatively, drag and drop the result with the double arrow at the far left.
Suppose we have entered the following results and points in the system that we then use in the examples below.
Settings main results:
Main resultat

3-2
1-1
2-2
In the same way, you can enter sub results, for example games if racket sports, and the related points.
Settings sub results:

6-2

6-3

How the final points are calculated depends on how the points is set to be summed up. You can choose from the following:
Main results
Sub results
Both
If you choose "List", you set up a number of fixed results that the players can choose from. Each individual result indicates how many points it will give.

2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6)
3-2
Main result 2-1 gives points 3-2.
2-0 (6-1, 6-2)
3-1
Main result 2-0 gives points 3-1.
Final points using "Sum up points from Sub results":

4-2
Sub result 6-4 gives points 2-0, sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0 and sub results 3-6 gives points 0-2.
2-0 (6-1, 6-2)
4-0
Sub result 6-1 gives points 2-0 and sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0.
Final points using "Sum up points from Both":

Explanation
2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6)
7-4
Main result 2-1 gives points 3-2. Sub result 6-4 gives points 2-0, sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0 and sub result 3-6 gives points 0-2.
2-0 (6-1, 6-2)
7-1
Main result 2-0 gives points 3-1. Sub result 6-1 gives points 2-0 and sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0.
This option works as an extension of the regular list option that you can read about above, but you also specify the total points. If the amount of the played points are less than the total points, the players or teams will split the remaing points up to the total points. With the same system, you can get very many different variations depending on how to set both points and total points. Below are some examples to understand the principle.
Assume in the examples below that the total points are 6 points.
Final points using "Sum up from Main results":
Results
Final points
Explanation
2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6)
3.5-2.5
Main result 2-1 gives points 3-2. The remaining 1 point will be split between the players or teams.
2-0 (6-1, 6-2)
4-2
Main result 2-0 gives points 3-1. The remaining 2 points will be split between the players or teams.
Final points using "Sum up from Sub results":
Results
Final points
Explanation
2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6)
4-2
Sub result 6-4 gives points 2-0, sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0 and sub result 3-6 gives points 0-2. No points remains to split.
2-0 (6-1, 6-2)
5-1
Sub result 6-1 gives points 2-0 and sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0. The remaining 2 points will be split between the players or teams.
Final points using "Sum up from Both":
Results
Final points
Explanation
2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6)
7-4
Main result 2-1 gives points 3-2. Sub result 6-4 gives points 2-0, sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0 and sub result 3-6 gives points 0-2. No points remains to split.
2-0 (6-1, 6-2)
7-1
Main result 2-0 gives points 3-1. Sub result 6-1 gives points 2-0 and sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0. No points remains to split.
For this option there is only one level. Unlike the lists, you do not need to set up a predefined result list to specify the points to be awarded for each result. Here you select the result for player or team 1 and then the result for player or teams 2. This option is therefore suitable for games where there can be very many different results.
The score is calculated by looking at the amount of winnings relative to the overall result. Then the competitors will share the total points depending on the corresponding result.

Suppose we have entered the total points to be 10 points.
