# League.Systems

League.Systems is a flexible platform for managing leagues and matches. The many settings are needed to adapt the game to as many sports and variations as possible. But the flexibility and settings also means that it can take time to get into the system without any help.

The goal for this documentation is that it will be useful for those issues that may arise, both as an administrator and as a player. It's a living document that is continuously updated as the system evolves.

You are also always welcome to contact us with questions and concerns at <support@league.systems>.

Have fun!

# FAQ

Here we will collect frequently asked questions. If you have suggestions for something else that can be good to add, please contact support and we will try to add it.

# I didn't get my password?

Regardless of whether you or an administrator add you as a new player, a password is always sent to the specified address upon registration. But for various reasons, the email will not always get to the final destination. Below are some suggestions for actions you can do yourself to try and get the email with the password through.

### Look in the junk mail

Start by looking at your email client's junk mail or spam. If you find it there, mark it as not spam, so it will end up there next time. If you do not find it, clear the junk mail folder completely, so that it is empty for the next step.

### Reset the password

It may have been a temporary error that caused the e-mail to fail. Therefore, it is good to reset the password. Then a new one is generated and sent to your specified email address. If you receive an error message when you try to restore it, it may mean that you entered an incorrect address when you registered. Please contact Support for further assistance. To reset the password, go to the login page and click on the Forgot password? link, or <https://league.systems/login/reset/>.

### Add safe sender

Sometimes, domains may be incorrectly classified as spam or junk. Then it may help to add them to your safe sender list. The following image shows how to do this in Outlook. Note that it may take a while before it is commited, so wait a while after this change and then try to reset the password as above.

### Contact support

If none of the above methods works, please contact Support and we will help you troubleshoot further.

# I can not log in?

If you have received a password but still can't log in, then try to follow this to proceed.

1. Delete all previous password emails you have received from League-Systems.com.
2. Go to <https://league.systems/login/reset/> to reset the password.
3. You should now have received an email with a new password. Enter the password in the password box.
   1. If you write by hand, be careful not to confuse similar characters such as 0 (zero) and O (the letter o).
   2. If you copy and paste the password, make sure you do not copy too much and get some extra characters.

### Contact support

If you're still not able to log in, please contact Support and we will help.

# How do I manage players in a team?

### Add new player

If you are the team leader then you can add new players by clicking in League-Systems.com and go to your team. Then click Add member in the "Team members" box.

![](/files/-LcWxIeSVJ_oYgjOx8XX)

If you do not have a team leader in the team, you need to contact the league's administrator who can add the new player, or make one of you a team leader.

### Change and remove players

As team leader you can change the player's role. You can also remove players and hand over the leader role to a new team leader.

![](/files/-M-uapwBgpQ3H5WWvEwW)

![](/files/-M-ualkFqlayPs2kTwYB)

# How do I change team name

If you are a team leader then you can just click on the team name on your team page. Confirm the name change by pressing Enter.

If you are not a team leader then you need to contact the league administrator who can do this for you.

# How can I connect to a team?

Go to [League.Systems](https://league.systems) and click on Find league. Then find the league you want to connect to and click Apply. There you can then choose to connect to a team.

When you submit the application, you will not be directly connected to the team. You end up in a queue list of the administrator who is then responsible for adding you to the team, if approved.

If you need to get in touch with the administrator to check the status, you can again find the league and then click on the Start menu. There you see who is the administrator and if you click on that person, you can also send a message directly from the system.

# How do I change a result?

What you do to change a result is to first delete the old result, and then register a new one.

If you have permission to delete a result depends on a few things. If it is a friendly match, you can delete the result up to 7 days from the time the result was registered.

A league result can be deleted at any time while the round is active, if the administrator allows it. If the administrator does not allow it, then you need to contact the administrator who then will help you with this.&#x20;

By displaying details for the result you can see if you have permissions to delete or not. Click on the three vertical dots next to the result. Then a small window with details opens. If you ca see and click on the Delete button, you have permissions.

![](/files/-L_sFp4unGZJUa5f_q2c)

# Is there an app?

There is no app to download from the App Store or Google Play. But you can still get the feeling that it is an app, and the speed that comes with it. A tap on the home screen and you get directly to your player profile page, where you can see upcoming matches and report results.

![](/files/-M-yOd0_0MOB6lhOVu3a)

### How do I install the app?

This description applies to Iphone iOS, but works similarly to, for example, Chrome on Android.

On the iPhone, you can only install it with the Safari browser. And in order for the experience to be good, you need to have upgraded to iOS 13.

Open Safari and go to [go.league.systems](https://go.league.systems) (or whatever domain you're on). You don't need to log in if you haven't done that already.

Then click the Share button (a box with an up arrow), followed by *Add to Home screen*. Done!

# Rating

### What is rating?

Rating is a way of comparing skill level between opponents. After each match, rating points are added or subtracted from a player's rating. Winning against opponents with higher ratings give more rating points than winning against opponents with lower ratings.

Each new player is assigned a rating of between 1400 and 1600. Then the rating is adjusted automatically and becomes more reliable the more matches registered. All types of matches give rating points, even friendly games.

If you practice different sports, you get a separate rating per sport.

### Qualify for rating

In order for a player to get a rating, the player must have activated his account. This happens when the player logs in for the first time. Rating is then given after the first match is registered, that is qualified for rating.\
Every player will start with a rating value of 1400 to 1600. The exact value depends on things such as the entry level in a competition. If players starts at the wrong level, it does not matter much. The system quickly adapts automatically. For example, if you get too low a rating, you climb faster when you win.

### Rating points

When a result is reported and qualified for rating, both opponents are assigned rating points. Most often, the winner gets new rating points while the loser loses rating points. An opponent with a high rating is expected to win against an opponent with a low rating. Therefore, an expected winner is assigned a low rating point, while an unexpected winner is assigned a high rating point.

For a result to be qualified for rating, it cannot be Walk Over. Also, each opponent must have at least 1 player with an account activated.

How many points you can get for a match depends on 4 things:

#### Expectation (difference in rating)

If the result is expected, then low rating points are assigned. But if the result is unexpected then a high rating point are assigned.

#### Match type

A match in an organized competition gives a higher rating point than in a friendly match, usually twice as much. But friendly matches, on the other hand, can be played more often.

#### Result

A win with, for example, 3-0 gives more than a win with 3-2. Half the rating points assigned are given to the winner, the rest is divided depending on the result.

#### Reliability

There are 3 levels of reliability:&#x20;

* Low reliability
* Some reliability
* High reliability

If you have played 1-4 games in 6 months you have low reliability. If you have played 5-8 games in 6 months you have some reliability. And if you have played over 8 games in 6 months you have high reliability.

Reliability exists for two reasons. One reason is for other players to be able to see that the level you see may not be entirely true yet. The second reason is that a player with low or certain reliability has greater weight than a player with high reliability. Weight means that if the player wins, then a higher rating point is assigned. If the player loses then a lower rating point is awarded. The effect from a match is bigger.\
This is done in over to get player to his or her level faster, when the player has just started playing or comes back after injury or similar. After each match played, reliability increases.

### Team and rating

Teams do not have their own rating, but is based on the team members' rating. The two players with the higherst rating in the team, regardless of regular or reserve, constitute the team's rating. The rating becomes the mean value between these two.

If the rating changes for these two players, or if another player gets a higher rating, the team's rating will also change. If the team has only one player, it is that player who makes up the team's rating. Therefore, if the team contains no player at all, the team has no rating. This also means that no rating points are assigned at all in a match where any team is missing players.

After a match between two teams, the rating points are calculated by comparing each player's own rating and reliability, with the opponent team rating.

### When is the rating updated?

The rating is updated at an interval of 15 minutes. So it can take anything from a minute to 15 minutes or longer, if the load is high.

# Tips and trix

{% hint style="info" %}
Get quickly to your player profile page by typing [go.league.systems](https://go.league.systems).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Create an "app feeling" on your iPhone by adding a shortcut to the home screen.
\
Open Safari and surf to your league. Click "share" (square with up arrow) and then choose to add on the home screen.
{% endhint %}

# Subscription

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important Information – New Pricing Model Starting May 1**

Starting **May 1, 2025**, the pricing model for subscriptions will change.\
The new model includes:

* **EUR 6.9 monthly base fee**
* **EUR 0.1 per registered result**
* **No results are included in the base fee**

As an example, the cost for a league with 50 registered results would be **EUR 6.9 + EUR 5 = EUR 11.9** (excluding VAT).

The current pricing model remains in effect until **April 30**, after which it will automatically update at the start of your next billing period.
{% endhint %}

Creating a league is free. All the functionality are available and 50 results are included that can be registered without cost or entering payment details. After 50 registered results, you must start a subscription to be able to register more results. A subscription has a flat fee of EUR 3.90 per month. This includes 26 results to register. Everything beyond this costs EUR 0.15 per registered result.

All prices in this text are in EURO and exclude VAT. Other domains can have other currencies, but the costs are equivalent.

For example, if 16 results are registered during a month, it costs EUR 3.90 (16 \* 0.15 = ~~2.40~~ => 3.90). If 30 results are registered the next month, it costs EUR 4.50 (30 \* 0.15 = 4.50).

The subscription is automatically paid monthly by card and can be canceled at any time, but ends at the end of the period. For example, if you start a subscription on March 4th and end it on March 18th, the subscription will continue until April 4th.\
Subscription and payments are handled by the well-known operator [Stripe](https://stripe.com/).

If it is not possible to card payments, it is also possible to get an invoice to pay in advance. The amount is then instead deducted monthly from the prepaid balance.

The subscription applies per "club" and monthly. Each league belongs to a club and a club can be seen as a holder for a collection of leagues, one or more. So if you register one result in one league and another result in another league, it counts as two registered results in the club.

Every time you register a result, it counts as a registration, even if you later delete the result. However, the same registration is not counted again if you register the result one more time. This applies as long as the match ID is the same. Should you therefore change the line-up in any way so that the matches get a new ID, it will count as a new match, even if the opponents are the same as before.

Only club administrators can access club details and manage the subscription. There are also league administrators, but with that permission you cannot manage club information and subscriptions.

# Quickstart guide

# Get started

A brief description of how to get started as quickly as possible. Only the most important parts are mentioned without going into details.

## Add teams

Skip this if it is single league.

Add all teams that will be in the competition. Do this in the **Teams / Add team** menu.

Enter team name and leave the status as Active. If you do not know the name right now, you can enter temporary names and change later.

## Add players

There are two ways to add players to the league. Either you add them as an administrator, or the players can create an account and apply to the league themselves. The link to the application form can be found in the Control Panel at the league overview (top item in the left menu).

Add players to to the league, and place these players in a team if it is team league. This is done under the **Players / Add player** menu.

If you need to enter many players quickly, you can do it under the **Players / Add to multiple players** menu. Enter a player on each row. On every row you can enter Name and Email address by separating these with a comma. You only need to enter one of these.

*Example:*

```
Mary Johnson, mary.johnson@league-systems.com
stephen.smith@league-systems.com, Stephen Smith
caroline@league-systems.com
```

## Add players to teams

If you manage teams then you need to add players to a team. This can be done either by selecting players and there entering a team. Or you can choose the team and add players to the team.

## Adjust the round dates

Enter the correct dates for the round using the left side menu Round 1 / Modify round / Modify dates.

![](/files/-LBGEXJaKiU42GyQpd6H)

**Start and End date** must be entered but **Last registration** is optional. If you enter a last registration, the players can no longer report results after that time. This is good if you want to make sure that no late results are reported after you have started to set up the next round.

## Settings

### Locations and courts

If you have multiple courts and want the players to see and enter which court to play, enter court name here.

![](/files/-LBGGCR1rO1s89HZaRbf)

### Scoring system

This quick guide assumes that you have used a template to set up the scoring system. If you want to adjust or create new, you can read more about this on the [Scoring system](/administrator/settings/scoring-system) page.

### Default values

Here you can specify how many players or teams normally play in each division. This is just a the default values that will be used when creating new divisions, but can be changed later per division. The same applies to Move up, Move down and Number of meetings.

### Profile

If you want to give your league a more unique look, you can add a logo and change colors.

### Custom page

Add a custom page to add a menu to the league with information to the players. For example, a page with your rules.

### Email messages

Set up the types of messages your players will receive. Pay special attention if you want to send calendar bookings (meeting bookings) as well as reminders.

If you have created a match schedule, calendar bookings will be sent when you publish the game. If the round is already published, calendar bookings will be sent directly.

## Create division

Under the **Manage tables** menu, just add the divisions and then add players or teams to them. First round, you must move the teams or players manually by using the drop down menu ***Move selected to***. After the first round, the system can handle this automatically using the green button ***Move automatically***. You can drag and drop players or teams between divisions using the two-way arrow (up and down).

<figure><img src="/files/IFtkJivtI8FBbWcE0G4H" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Match schedule

Skip this step if you do not have pre-arranged matches, and it is up to everyone to play all matches before the round is over.

Adding a match schedule is simply adding a number of booked matches in advance, so everyone plays each other (so called round robin). This can be done manually or through an import, but easiest is to let the system generate these booked matches automatically. This is done under **Scheduled matches** / **Generate match schedule**.

### Recurring times

Before the first round, you must add recurring times. That is time slots that are available to the players or teams. In this quick guide, we assume it's a simple schedule with maximum 1 match a week, each week. But it is possible to create a more complex pattern.

![](/files/-LB_vonur4_4bWue7YIq)

Select day and time for a week when a match is to be played. Enter any location (eg a court) and if you want to reserve this time to a particular division.

At the top of the *"Generate match schedule"* page, you will get a hint on how many recurring times to set up in order to play the round as quickly as possible. If you fewer recurring times, it will also take longer to play the round.

![](/files/-LB_wzEdQXVienhY_Gyy)

### Preview and create

After you have created the recurring times, click **Step 1: Preview**. If you are satisfied with the setup, proceed creating the booked matches with **Step2: Create booked matches**.

![](/files/-LB_xzfcnWi3wp_h9Et6)

## Publish

Before publishing the round, see how the tables will look like and click on the square and arrow icon next to the league title (highlighted in the image below).

When you're ready to publish the round, just click the **Publish round** button.

![](/files/-LB_yrD-KXB8aWH_ZoyC)

Once you've published the round, you'd probably like to communicate it to all the players.

The players you added as an administrator must reset their password to log in for the first time. They can either do throught the usual login page (forgotten password) or the following link: <https://league-systems.com/login/password/reset/>.

You can let the system create an email list for you based on which players are in the current round. Click on **Players** / **Show players in round 1** and then **Functions** / **Email list**.

## Play!

When the round is published and the players are informed, it basically runs by it self. Besides answering questions from the players, you do not need to do anything until the next round. And then it's much easier to setup the next round. If we assume that all players or teams are still playing and no new ones have entered, you can publish the next round in a just few minutes with these simple steps:

1. Create a new round (top menu)
2. Click the green button **Move automatically** (Manage tables)
3. Possibly preview and create a match schedule (Generate match schedule)
4. Publish round

Good luck!

# Americano

Turn up as a single player, but play doubles and rotate partners after each match.

Americano is a popular form of game, especially in padel. But it works just as well in other team sports where you play doubles, such as tennis or badminton. Americano can be played both as a tournament, for example for a day, or as a regular round robin box league that lasts for several weeks, where you move up or down based on your results.

The setup is such that you turn up as the single player in a competition, but are drawn with other players and put together into a team. For each match, all players rotate so that new teams are constantly formed. The points that the team gets in their match, goes to the players in the team. If a team gets 5 points in a match, both players get 5 points each.

When the competition is over, all players have played the same number of matches and received different points. The one player who has received the most points is the winner. Alternative move up a division, if it is a round robin tournament.

If you play Americano regularly, you do not have to create a completely new league every time. You can reuse everything you have done by just setting up a new competition in the same league.

{% hint style="info" %}
[Click here to create an Americano](https://league.systems/login/player/create/)
{% endhint %}

![Table for 8 players](/files/-MC8pIGbFhWeR13XM_I6)

### Number of players

There is support for from 4 to 60 players, per division. If there is a need for more than 60, you can divide it into several divisions. But the normal number of players is about 4 to 12 players per group.

Whatever number of players you choose, each player will play the same number of matches. Most times, it is best to choose a number that you can evenly divide by 4. Then each player plays every round, and no one needs to pass. In addition, all players will play with all other players exactly 1 time, and against all other players exactly 2 times. The same applies with 1 more player (5, 9, 13 ...) but then all players will skip one turn. For all the other number of players, each player does not play with or against all other players. But the number of matches is the same for everyone.

The following applies when selecting the number of players.

| Players               | Matches per player | Rounds |
| --------------------- | :----------------: | :----: |
| 4x *(ex 4, 8, 12)*    |        4x-1        |  4x-1  |
| 4x+1 *(ex 5, 9, 13)*  |         4x         |  4x+1  |
| 4x+2 *(ex 6, 10, 14)* |         4x         |  4x+2  |
| 4x+3 *(ex 7, 11, 15)* |         4x         |  4x+3  |

{% hint style="info" %}
In the table above, x stands for a value. So if x is 2 then 4x = 8 and 4x + 2 = 10.
{% endhint %}

![Schedule](/files/-MC8r9ROSE2T3ayCRaQU)

### Scoring system

You can basically choose which scoring system you want for an Americano. It depends more on the circumstances, such as how much time is available for each match. If you arrange a round robin tournament that extends over several weeks where each match is 90 minutes long. Then you want to choose a system that takes quite a long time to play. Read more at [Scoreing system](/administrator/settings/scoring-system) for some examples. If you organize a tournament where the whole game should be over in a few hours, then every match should go pretty fast. Many then choose, for example, a match of 32 rallies. Each rally gives 1 point. It can be anything from 32-0 to 16-16 in a match. Alternatively, you play by time limit to get control of how long the matches will be. You can try the system *Relative total points* where you play the time and get points as a percentage of the number of rallies you win. For example, if you play for 10 points and the match ends 15-10, the score is awarded 6-4.

### Create a league

{% hint style="info" %}
[Click here to create an Americano](https://league.systems/login/player/create/)
{% endhint %}

You create an Americano in 3 steps.

#### Step 1: Enter club information

![](/files/-MCB_WtzUQUd0bRVVRXQ)

A club can be a sport center. But it can be any kind of group. The important thing to keep in mind is that all the leagues you create is under the same "club".\
The web address is the link you want for you club and leagues, for example <https://league-systems.com/**mygroup**/>

#### Step 2: Enter league information

![](/files/-MCB_wppE4TtphLvSD93)

You have to select Rotating Partners (Americano) when selecting the match type. Another thing that must be entered is the league's title, which sport it is and also if it is a public or private league.

#### Step 3: Scoring system

![](/files/-MCBaOVJJgQ_JMc7NFbt)

In step 3, you get to choose from different templates for a scoring systems, which do a lot of the work for you. It is also possible not to choose a template if you have some very special wishes. Otherwise, it is best to choose the template that is closest and then change it. In this example, we select Quick Match to 32 as the template for a tournament.

After this step, the league is ready! We then move over to the [Control Panel](https://league-systems.com/admin/) to add players.

### Add players

![](/files/-MCBb1lFxM4usKWtQo94)

In the top menu you can choose Add player with the possibility to enter more information. But the fastest way is to select Add multiple players.

![](/files/-MCBcNZaRi5WjhNBa76i)

Add the players with an email address and name, with a comma in between. Email address is not mandatory. But if you add it, you will enable the following:

* Players can receive calendar bookings and reminders
* The player can log in and register results
* Players can contact each other through the system
* Players gets an individual rating
* Players can change profile picture and settings
* If the players already have an account, this is linked and all statistics are collected in one single place

### Create tables

![](/files/-MCBirG_wfapAOzDDMZs)

At the Manage tables menu, select checkbox to select all the available players. Then choose move selected to: Division 1 to add them to the first (and only so far) division.

![](/files/-MCBjYTUOIGsq-J8sEVM)

After you have added the players to the division you have created the match schedule, but without fixed time. If you want to add it you can by clicking the Add button. Also look at the section *Generate schedule* if you would like to add a fixed time for all the matches at the same time.

### Settings

You can also go through the Settings menu and see if there is something you would like to change before you publish. There you can choose what kind of emails and bookings that will be sent.

### Publish

![](/files/-MCBn3psYLbdDfcGD0DM)

As the final step you click on the Round 1 menu and check the dates for the round/competition. You can change the dates at the function menu *Modify round / Modify dates*.

After that you can publish the round and you are ready to play!

If you would like to see the players page with the tables, click on the box icon with an arrow up right, close to the league title at the top.

![](/files/-MCBo18GOmTZDFT4zUAz)

### Next competition

If the setup is the same at the next competition, you can reuse what you have done and just add a new round. The players or the number of players do not have to be the same. You can change this for each competition.

In the top menu, just add a new round and then continue to Manage tables as for the first round. If you want existing players to be moved to a new division according to the up and down lines, just click on the green button "Move automatically". Otherwise you can move the players to where they belong manually.

# Settings

# Booking methods

When choosing a booking method, you choose in which way players will be able to reschedule the match times themselves. But first you need to allow the players to reschedule at *Settings / Permissions / Change booked matches*.

If the players should be to reschedule their match times themselves, there are two choices. *Free choice* or *Available times*.

![](/files/-MITC0dZ4mXMbI5QeLLy)

### Booking method

With *Free Choice*, players can book and reschedule the match time with the help of a calendar where they can choose any day and time. The players then need to make sure to also book this time in the current booking system.

If you select *Available times*, players can only choose from a list of available times. These times should be pre-booked in the booking system and added by the administrator as available extra times in the system. If a player changes a match time to a available time in the list, the previous time will then be available for other participants to choose.

### Release available times

The idea is that these available times are also booked in the booking system so that they are available for the participants to choose among. But if the available time is still available som hours before, you probably want the time to be released to the public, so that someone else can book it instead.

#### Release hours before

Here you set how many hours before you want the available time to be removed, so that players can no longer choose that time.

#### Action on release

When an available time is removed from the system, you can choose to also take other actions. What you can choose from at the moment is *Do nothing*, *Send email* or *Cancel in Matchi*.

If you select *Send email*, an email will be sent to a specified address as soon as available times are removed. This is a signal that you can manually cancel the time in your booking system so that someone else can book the time.

If you have Matchi as your booking system, you can also select *Cancel in Matchi*. This requires that you get a cancellation code from Matchi to the account from which the times are booked in Matchi. If you enter this, the times are automatically canceled in Matchi at the same time as they are removed from the system. In this way, you can book many extra times for the league without having to worry about the times not being used.\
**NOTE. This option is currently being tested by a number of selected clubs.**

### **Create available times**

It is possible to create available times in the same way as the usual booked matches. Either by generating the entire booking schedule, or by setting them up manually. Please note that in order to create free times, you must have chosen the booking method *Available times*.

#### Generate available times

When you generate your bookings for the match schedule, you can either just enter a few extra recurring times to get an abundance of times. Or you can with advantage reserve the time to *No division* to have more control over exactly which times become extra available times.

![](/files/-MITGcLQI70nOB_7p6hF)

#### Add available times manually

You can also add available times manually before, or during the ongoing round by *Add booking*. Then select that it is a available time and then enter only the date and place.

![](/files/-MITHMoZPrxIvGT4G6H3)

### Show available times

Under the menu Available times, you see all upcoming available times that players have to choose from. You can also remove a available time here. **But do note** that if you delete a available time manually, this will not trigger any action. No email is sent or time canceled in the booking system.

# Scoring system

There are currently 3 different types of scoring system *"List"*, *"List with total points"* and *"Relative total points"*. For each scoring system there are additional options that makes it possible to get many different variants of scoring system. What you use depends on how you prefer to allocate points to different results.

![](/files/-LBGNjBSfhWeeM-mqvfl)

For *"List"* and *"List with total points"*, there are two levels of results. *"Main results"* and *"Sub results"*. This can, for example, be sets and games in racket sports. However, it can be called something else in another sport.

#### Total points

Choosing the *"List with total points"* or *"Relative total points"* means that all points will be summed up to the figure you set in total points. For example, if you have set 10 as total points and the result you enter only gives 4 points to player 1 and 2 points to player 2, according to your configuration. The sum of match points is only 6, and therefore the system will add 4 points. 2 points each. The final points will then be 6-4 in this case. Should your result ever give more than 10 points, the points will not change.

#### Manage results

You can choose to manage your results in two ways. *"Simplified"* and *"Advanced"*. In most cases, it is best to use of the simplified results management. This means, among other things, that if you create a result 3-1 with points 5-2, the system creates a mirror result 1-3 with points 2-5.
\
If you need to rename the menus or get a very specific sorting then you may need to use the advanced management.

In addition to this, you can choose how you want the total points to be calculated. Only with points from main results, only with points from sub results or both. This is set using the blue *"Manage Results"* button.

![](/files/-LBZdcOPJ4HmFfuX02ak)

How the final score is calculated depends on how you have set the score to be summed up. You can choose from the following:

* Main results
* Sub results
* Both

If you select *"Main Results"*, only the points are summarized from the main results. If you select *"Sub results"*, then only the points from the sub results are summarized. The exception is WO (walk over) or NS (no show). Then the score is always calculated from the main result. The last option, *"Both"*, points from both the main results and the sub results are summarized.

To add a new result to the results list, click the plus sign in the top right corner. You will then end up in edit mode, which is the same as pressing the pen.

The column *"Status"* says whether the result is active or not, ie if it is displayed to the user. *"Results"* and *"Points"* shows the result to be entered and what this gives in points (depending on your choise in *"Sum up points"*). In *"Group"* column, you can enter a text for a some results to group them together. This can be used for less used results, or incomplete results.

![Grouping results](/files/-LBZhapSF3YC9qAGi6qc)

To change the sorting of results, you can either click the arrows up or down. Alternatively, drag and drop the result with the double arrow at the far left.

## Examples

Suppose we have entered the following results and points in the system that we then use in the examples below.

*Settings main results:*

| **Main resultat** | **Points** |
| ----------------- | ---------- |
| 2-0               | 3-1        |
| 2-1               | 3-2        |
| 1-1               | 2-2        |

In the same way, you can enter sub results, for example games if racket sports, and the related points.

*Settings sub results:*

| **Sub resultats** | **Points** |
| ----------------- | ---------- |
| 6-0               | 2-0        |
| 6-1               | 2-0        |
| 6-2               | 2-0        |
| 6-3               | 2-0        |
| 6-4               | 2-0        |

How the final points are calculated depends on how the points is set to be summed up. You can choose from the following:

* Main results
* Sub results
* Both

### List

If you choose *"List"*, you set up a number of fixed results that the players can choose from. Each individual result indicates how many points it will give.

*Final points using "Sum up points from Main results":*

| **Results**         | **Final points** | **Explanation**                   |

| 2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6) | 7-4              | Main result 2-1 gives points 3-2. Sub result 6-4  gives points 2-0, sub result 6-2  gives points 2-0 and sub result 3-6  gives points 0-2. |
| 2-0 (6-1, 6-2)      | 7-1              | Main result 2-0 gives points 3-1. Sub result 6-1 gives points 2-0 and sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0.                                     |

### List with total points

This option works as an extension of the regular list option that you can read about above, but you also specify the total points. If the amount of the played points are less than the total points, the players or teams will split the remaing points up to the total points. With the same system, you can get very many different variations depending on how to set both points and total points. Below are some examples to understand the principle.

Assume in the examples below that the total points are 6 points.

*Final points using "Sum up from Main results":*

| **Results**         | **Final points** | **Explanation**                                                                                       |
| ------------------- | ---------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6) | 3.5-2.5          | Main result 2-1 gives points 3-2. The remaining 1 point will be split between the players or teams.   |
| 2-0 (6-1, 6-2)      | 4-2              | Main result 2-0 gives points 3-1.  The remaining 2 points will be split between the players or teams. |

&#x20;Final points using "Sum up from Sub results":

| **Results**         | **Final points** | **Explanation**                                                                                                                          |
| ------------------- | ---------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6) | 4-2              | Sub result 6-4 gives points 2-0, sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0 and sub result 3-6 gives points 0-2. No points remains to split.        |
| 2-0 (6-1, 6-2) | 5-1 | Sub result 6-1 gives points 2-0 and sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0. The remaining 2 points will be split between the players or teams. |

&#x20;Final points using "Sum up from Both":

| **Results**         | **Final points** | **Explanation**                                                                                                                                                     |
| ------------------- | ---------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| 2-1 (6-4, 6-2, 3-6) | 7-4              | Main result 2-1 gives points 3-2. Sub result 6-4 gives points 2-0, sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0 and sub result 3-6 gives points 0-2. No points remains to split. |
| 2-0 (6-1, 6-2)      | 7-1              | Main result 2-0 gives points 3-1. Sub result 6-1 gives points 2-0 and sub result 6-2 gives points 2-0. No points remains to split.                                  |

### Relative total points

For this option there is only one level. Unlike the lists, you do not need to set up a predefined result list to specify the points to be awarded for each result. Here you select the result for player or team 1 and then the result for player or teams 2. This option is therefore suitable for games where there can be very many different results.

The score is calculated by looking at the amount of winnings relative to the overall result. Then the competitors will share the total points depending on the corresponding result.

*Exemple:*

Suppose we have entered the total points to be 10 points.

| **Results** | **Final points** | **Help formula**                  |
| ----------- | ---------------- | --------------------------------- |
| 6-4         | 6-4              | (6/10) \* 10 versus (4/10) \* 10  |
| 11-6        | 6.5-3.5          | (11/17) \* 10 versus (6/17) \* 10 |
| 5-3         | 6.25-3.75        | (5/8) \* 10 versus (3/8) \* 10    |

# Pyramid Box Leagues

With a pyramid box league, you can have several divisions at the same level. Where everyone on that level goes up to a division on the level above.

The disadvantage of a straight box league where you have to get through all the divisions, is that it can take a long time to get to your correct level, if you have to start from the bottom. With a pyramid box league, you do not have to get through all the divisions, but instead go between levels.

If you take an example with 6 divisions, where each division takes 1 month to play, you need at least 6 months in a straight box league to win the top division. With the same number of competitors in a pyramid box league, according to the image below, you only need 3 months.

![](/files/-MISj2pVq9GFsv0nY34b)

### Turn on and adjust pyramid box leagues

You can turn on the pyramid box league at *Settings / Table settings* in the Control Panel.

![](/files/-MISlta0Dxi3l3nbMws5)

Under the menu Manage tables, you will then get a new column "Parent". In that column you can see which division is the parent division. That is, in which division you should end up if you go up one level from current division.

To change this, click on the cog wheel to manage the division.

If you end up below the relegation line, you fall down to one of the divisions where the current division is specified as the parent. So, say that Division 1 is listed as a parent in both division 2 and division 3. Those who fall down from division 1 then end up in these, evenly distributed. One in division 2 and the other in division 3.

<figure><img src="/files/i2sjvupcMRfpqXyAUUJP" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

It is possible to rename the divisions if you want them to be called something other than Division 1, 2 and 3, for example. In pyramid group box leagues, it may be that you want it to be called Division 1, 2a and 2b instead according to the image below.

To change the name of a division, click on the cog wheel and enter the name in Custom name.

# Schedule

# Generate schedule

Allowing the system to generate a game schedule makes it very easy to create new rounds. You spend some time setting up the first round. But if nothing changes to the rounds after, you create your game schedule in seconds.

It is important to remember that if the round is published, and calendar bookings are turned on, then the emails are sent immediately. But if the round is not published then nothing is sent until the round get published.

Before you can generate the game schedule, you must add all players or teams in each division. You do this in the Manage tables menu in the Control Panel. What you can prepare before this is to save all recurring times.

### Choosing the number of competitors

If it is important that the courts are distributed equally within the division, you should select an uneven number of competitors. There will always be exactly equal distribution of times and courts, provided that you have reserved the recurring time for the divisions. If you choose an even number, it will be distributed as evenly as possible.

The exception is if you select an even number of competitors, consisting of 4 or 10, 16, 20, 28, 34 and so on (6x + 4). In these cases, the courts will be evenly distributed among all competitors except one. This one will get all the same times on the same court.

### The dates of the round

In order for the game schedule to be on the correct date, you need to start by specifying the start and end date of the round. Start date is important so that the first date in the schedule is correct. The end date you can easily adjust later, although you may get a warning if some matches are to be played after the end of the round.

### Settings

There are some settings that have to do with the game schedule.

#### Scoring system / Number of meetings per game

The starting point is that everyone meets everyone once during a round. But it is possible to specify that everyone should meet everyone up to 20 times per round.

#### Match settings / Locked match times

With locked match times, players can only reschedule their matches at times set by the administrator. For example, say you have a match time at 6pm and re-book at 7pm, which is available. Then that time at 18 o'clock will not be removed but left for someone else to choose.

When generating the game schedule, you can choose to add some extra times that will be unbooked. It is then these times that players can choose if they want to reschedule matches. You can also add these unbooked matches afterwards after the game schedule is created.

#### Scheduling / Sorting game schedule

You can choose between Random and Ranking. Random means that the order which who plays at the beginning or end of the round is random. Each time you preview, a new randomization is made. When you choos Ranking, the layout is such that the competitor at position 1 meets position 2 in the final meeting of the round. Position 3 meets position 4 and so on.

### Recurring times

![](/files/-Lo5XLfVcCalcXOfuSgS)

A recurring time is times and courts that are repeated at a certain interval. For example, you can schedule matches to be played each week at 7pm on court 1.

#### Add recurring time

![](/files/-Lo5WTgAvHY1OzaZnOjy)

* **Day and Time:** Enter the day and time of the recurring time
* **Interval:** Specify whether the matches should be played each week or if there should be one or more weeks between matches.
* **Offset:** Without offset, the matches start the first week. If you offset a recurring time, it starts a few weeks later. For example, if you have two recurring times at intervals every two weeks, you can offset that time one week ahead. In this way, one time gets the first week and the other time the second week.
* **Location:** Choose the location or court. If you only have one court, you do not need to enter this.
* **Reserved to:** Specify which division should have access to the recurring time. If you do not specify anything, all divisions have access to this time. It is recommended that all times are reserved for a division. The advantages of this are that the times are distributed more evenly over the courts and that you can generate game schedule only for certain divisions.
* **Comment:** Enter a comment at the time booked. Please note that the comment will appear on every booking for the recurring time.

#### Number of recurring times

How many recurring times are needed depends on how many players or teams are in each division. You can calculate how many recurring times you need by the following formula:

**For even number of competitors:** Number of times = Number of competitors / 2\
**For uneven number of competitors:** Number of times = (Number of competitors + 1) / 2

So if you have 5 competitors in each division with 10 divisions, you need 3 \* 10 = 30 recurring times.

The system will help you showing a tip at the top of the Generate schedule page:

![](/files/-Lo5WsQfq-W2SG2t14tF)

### Exception

An exception is when you want to indicate deviations from the regular game schedule. If you have matches every week then you can enter an exception on, for example, a leave or if the location is closed for a few days.

![](/files/-Lo5X1t1fUhPbiV8XnMP)

* **Start Date and End Date:** Specify between which date the exception should apply.
* **Applies to:** You can specify that the exception should apply only to a particular division.
* **On exception:** Here you specify what will happen after the exception has ended. *Keep pattern* or *Next available*. If your recurring time has intervals Every week then it does not matter what you choose here.\
  *Keep the pattern* means that the pattern that the recurring time has created remains. Suppose you have matches week 1, 3 and 5 but add an exception all week 3. Then the matches will instead be week 1, 5 and 7.
* *Next available* means that the pattern will start over as soon as possible. In the same example as above, matches will be at week 1, 4 and 6.

### Preview schedule

![](/files/-Lo5XUQCqmdQWs6vJwsq)

Once you have added all players or teams in each division and added all recurring times and perhaps some exceptions, you can preview the game schedule by pressing the *Step 1: Preview* button.

If you are happy with the game schedule and want to create it, just press the *Step 2: Create booked matches* button. Then all booked matches are created according to the game schedule.

If you have set it to send out calendar bookings, they will start sending as soon as the round is published. The matches are then sent out in batches with the earliest matches first.

### Generate game schedule for some divisions

![](/files/-Lo5YM_iw5xwKdvCoYiL)

It is possible to generate game schedules only for certain divisions. For example, if something is wrong in the schedule, you can generate only one or two divisions instead of changing all the booked matches. It may also be that more competitors have been added at the last moment and therefore you need to re-generate some parts of the game schedule.

If you have already generated booked matches and do so again, the booked matches will be overwritten with the new ones. If the round is published and set to send out calendar bookings, then a cancellation email will be sent out first and then the new booking.

# Version 25.06

### New game format: Ladder (Beta)

We are happy to introduce a brand new game format in Ligaspel – **Ladder**!

<figure><img src="/files/3F4sSiOPR93pnd1gs3CY" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### What is Ladder?

In a ladder, all participants are positioned in a ranking list. You can challenge players or teams above you, and if you win, you take their place. If you lose, you stay where you are. Positions are updated automatically without gaps.

#### Rules (in the first version)

* You can challenge a player/team up to 5 positions above you.
* You can only have one active challenge at a time, and at the same time only be challenged once.
* A challenge is automatically withdrawn if it is not scheduled within 5 days.
* If you win, you take your opponent’s place and everyone in between moves down.
* If you lose, positions remain unchanged.
* Results can only be deleted if they are the latest for both participants, and within 7 days.

#### Administrator

The administrator positions the participants in the ladder, but after that there is no need to manage challenges manually – players handle challenges, book matches, and report results themselves.

#### Beta status

The game format is still under development and may be missing features or behave unexpectedly. We really appreciate if you share your ideas and suggestions for improvements.

# Version 25.02

We've made it easier to see both head-to-head and indirect matches!

In the match details, which you can access by clicking the three dots in a match list, you'll now find a new button.

* If the opponents have played against each other before, their head-to-head matchups will be shown.
* If they haven't met, but share common opponents, indirect matchups with relevant results will be displayed.&#x20;

This gives you a better overview before upcoming matches!

<figure><img src="/files/LM2kqln7lgluORlCq70O" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Below is an example of indirect matches where the opponents haven't played each other directly, but there are results against common opponents.

<figure><img src="/files/yk1PuuCyY2FohPhf48xu" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Version 24.12

### Swap players teams

You can now swap players or teams between divisions while keeping the schedule and all booked matches intact.

<figure><img src="/files/PcsGa12QhllxzCbjMbz7" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Version 24.04

### Skill level 1-10

We've introduced a new concept, Skill Level, to simplify communication about someone's skill level, especially during competitions.

<figure><img src="/files/UvHORm7Zyly2xCEqTCRd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

All skill levels are listed here:

{% content-ref url="/pages/MzqOQ0YOJ2NFjV6GjcpK" %}
[Skill level 1-10, what is that?](/player/faq/skill-levels)
{% endcontent-ref %}

### Improved team management during application

We've modified the process for adding members to a team during team application for easier management. Now, during the application, you can choose between regular or substitute members.

Additionally, there's a new field for Estimated Skill Level as mentioned above.

<figure><img src="/files/fErwY6QFYBTUBzkIBXq6" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Application settings

Now it's possible to customize how the application process works. Previously, it was only possible with an internal application form. But now we've introduced the flexibility to use an external link instead, or even opt out of the application altogether. This way, you can tailor the application process to your needs and preferences.

<figure><img src="/files/GKps8ASI9nJBTreMzTDq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### New feature: Custom Fields

Our new custom fields feature gives you the flexibility to organize and manage your players and teams in a tailored manner. You can specify details such as whether players are right-handed or left-handed, if they've paid for the latest tournament, and more. The choice is entirely yours.

There are four different types of fields you can add:

* Text
* Select (a list where you choose the content)
* Yes/No (a list with fixed values yes or no)
* Payment (a field for payments)

You can also specify whether all of your leagues should have access to the fields or only certain ones.

<figure><img src="/files/kFKPMAhU5MYly4sgisX8" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/IDtSApLKn7vOJhPuPHnL" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Manage columns with Table Settings

A new feature has been added for team and player tables: the ability to choose which columns are displayed, including custom columns from Custom Fields.

<figure><img src="/files/OUZN7YRB0pt4TnE1HrQG" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/JTuQUtfjqNOUwKQ4E8b2" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Email list for teams

Previously, you could only create an email list from the player table. Now, there's also the option to do it from the team table.

<figure><img src="/files/LKeTvn1uokSqZa5PIvMd" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Improved filtering in tables

The search function has been made more efficient, allowing you to search for 'empty fields' or 'non-empty fields.' Additionally, custom fields can now be included in the search.

Previously, when filtering in the team and player tables, you had to redo the search after clicking on a player, for example. Now, the table remembers the filtering so you don't have to redo it for each player.

### More languages!

We've added support for Spanish and Italian on the player side of the system.

<figure><img src="/files/K6mRUHUaJNJ3xRb7CKY0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Version 23.09

### Add qualifying marks

In this update, we have added that the posibility to add qualifying marks. This is shown as dashed lines in the table and are visual marks only.

<figure><img src="/files/yJiI9eD1sEjcrRRUWncf" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To enter a qualifying mark, there are two new fields in Division settings. Qualify up and Qualify down. As a default, these fields are set to 0, and then the qualifying marks are not displayed. If you enter 1, it means that the selection is displayed 1 place before or after the mark for *"Move down"* or *"Move up"*. If *"Move up"* is 1 and *"Qualify up"* is 1, then the move up mark is shown after the first place, and the qualification up mark is shown after the second place in the table.

<figure><img src="/files/qgyoYgN1TA80xEjF20pG" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Move up mark from division 1

Previously, it was not possible to show a "move up" mark in division 1. However, as requested, we have now opened up for this.

# Version 23.07

### Enter exact participants in a match

If a team has more players in the team than are needed to perform a match, you can now choose which players actually played. The team can, for example, have stand-by players who plays only occationally. Or you can rotate among multiple players to make it easier to arrange the matches..

Previously, when a result was recorded, all players on the team were considered participants in the matches. This meant that even the players who did not actually play in the match were still included in the statistics and had their ratings affected.

So, what's new is that you now have the option to choose which players will participate in or have participated in a match. When you book a match, you can already specify the players who will be playing. If you happen to know the line-up of the opposing team, you can also make changes accordingly. However, the other team can also make changes to their line-up later on. It's important to note that modifying the participants in a booking does not trigger an email update. However, if any other changes are made to the booking itself, an email notification will be sent out, provided the administrator has enabled this feature. These emails will still be sent to all team members, including those who are not going to play.

When initially creating a match, all regular players are automatically listed as participants. However, if there are more regular players available than needed to play the match, it is necessary to manually remove those who will not be participating. Failing to do so would imply that everyone has played in the match, even if that may not be feasible or accurate.

However, what is different from before is that reserves are no longer automatically included as participants unless you specifically mention that a reserve player will be participating. In other words, reserves are not considered as default participants unless their active involvement in the match is explicitly indicated.

<figure><img src="/files/9DNS8cszgjJ17POLlWUz" alt=""><figcaption><p>If there are participants available in the team, a new participant box will be displayed.</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="/files/h89x66RTqbfLdHsm2j8S" alt=""><figcaption><p>Select participants and click Apply. Then save the booking or the result.</p></figcaption></figure>

You are not required to specify participants when making a booking. It is also an option to specify participants only when registering the result. However, depending on the person registering, it can be challenging to determine the exact participants on the opposing team. In such cases, it is more convenient if each individual declares their participation prior to the match.

If you have registered a result with the wrong participant and wish to make a change, you will need to delete the existing result and register it again with the correct participant.

### Coming improvements

We have exercised caution in implementing extensive features for this aspect at the moment. We believe it is wise to proceed cautiously, observe its usage, and make improvements accordingly. Here are some aspects intentionally deferred for future enhancements:

#### Booking permission is missing

If the league administrator has not granted permission to modify bookings, it will also prevent participants from being specified in advance since this action is performed on the booking page. However, it is still possible to specify participants at a later stage when registering the result.

#### Administrators cannot specify participants&#x20;

We have postponed the implementation of the feature that allows the administrator to manage participants in individual matches. Our priority has been to release an initial version promptly. Nevertheless, if neither the player nor the administrator is concerned about managing participants, the system will continue to function almost as before this change.

# Version 23.04

### Manage number of meetings per division

Starting with this version, you can specify the number of meetings per division. It is therefore possible, for example, to have only 1 meeting in Division 1, but 2 meetings in Division 2.

In the division list, a new heading has been added, Number of meetings. This simply shows how many times players or teams will meet.

<figure><img src="/files/opi9Ni1OZVJlODlGOoHI" alt=""><figcaption><p>The division list under the Manage Tables menu</p></figcaption></figure>

To manage the division, you click on the gear wheel, which opens a dialog window.

<figure><img src="/files/HRFMEDiiw3yooOYhN0kp" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

#### Custom name

Specify if you want the division to be named something special. Leave blank if you want it to be called, for example, "Division 1".

#### Parent

Appears only if you have turned on Pyramid box league. Choose which parent the current division should have. For example, if you have 3 divisions, you might want both Division 2 and 3 to have Division 1 as a parent. Players who then move up from Division 3 goes directly up to Division 1.

#### Move up

Specifies how many players will move up from this division. Appears, among other things, as a green line in the players' tables.

#### Move down

Specifies how many players will move down from this division. Appears, among other things, as a red line in the players' tables.

#### Number of meetings

Specifies how many times the players or teams will meet in this division.

### Default values

You could find these fields earlier in the Settings menu. But we have made it a little clearer that it is about default values. So not something that gives any changes immediately, but is used later.

<figure><img src="/files/mkDbUKrp4aTruhNsl3fh" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

For example, nothing happens in any division if you change Move up in the settings. However, when you create a new division, that value is used as a default value in how many should go up in that division. This can of course be changed after the division is created.

# Version 23.03

### Statistics

We have created a new statistics page for teams and players.

<figure><img src="/files/ZeDu2Ksj3vSZAoTxS6LA" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To get to the statistics page, click on *Show more statistics* on the player's or team's profile page next to the Win count chart.

<figure><img src="/files/lHH1fcU5P7gGj6whYSSu" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Version 23.02

February 2023

### Copy league

It is now possible to copy a league in a very simple way. Start by selecting the league you want to copy. Then select *Copy league* in the top menu.

<figure><img src="/files/eqqMaA1VnOmDCKa0B2fk" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can also choose whether you want to copy players and teams to the new league.

<figure><img src="/files/SzuyXS82DwEi1iWYuGMI" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Subscription details

We have expanded the details of the subscription. It is now possible to see the start and end of the period as well as the cost so far and the estimated cost for the period.

<figure><img src="/files/4rQmiyxNDRe4N8sNTVeq" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

# Version 22.09

### The icons are back!

Previously, for performance reasons, we had to temporarily remove icons that were displayed in the table, on certain achievements. For example, if you won 5 matches in a row, a fire was shown. Or if you won the previous round, you got a trophy.

Now these long-awaited icons have returned, with a twist! Nowadays, when you as a player or you as a team get a trophy, you get to keep it. You can therefore see your won trophies on the league's player or team page.

<figure><img src="/files/QO8gR8onvA1yCKKrOQqy" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

### Log in to apply

We have changed the way you apply to a league to avoid misunderstandings. Previously, you could create a player account and apply to a league at the same time. But this sometimes led to error messages if you already had an account and hadn't logged in.

So now you always have to first create an account or log in before you apply. We believe that this will be a better flow.

### Create account quickly with Facebook

If users have a Facebook account, it is now possible to create an account at the touch of a button. If you then allow, name, email address and profile picture are retrieved. In addition, you can later also log in without a password through Facebook.

In addition to that, you can now also log in through Facebook without having previously connected your Facebook account to the login (this is done under My settings by the way). As long as the email address in League.Systems and the email address in Facebook are the same, you will be logged in.

### New email setting - "Promotions and offers"

Under My Settings and Email Settings there is now an option for "Promotions and Offers".&#x20;

We have refined the Newsletter to only contain news. Then we will instead send various relevant offers to those who accept this by having "Promotions and offers" switched on.

We will only send what we believe are relevant offers. For example, it can be cheaper rackets or balls.

## Administrators

### Update club information / manage administrators

A new "Club Settings" page has been added where the club administrator can update the "club" information. For example, phone number, email address, website or time zone.&#x20;

It is now also possible to add and remove administrators, and to handle their permissions.

To access this page, you must be a Club administrator. A Club administrator has access to everything. In addition to being a Club administrator, you can be a League administrator, who only has access to selected leagues.&#x20;

### Sort tables

Many tables can now be sorted in ascending or descending order by clicking on the header.

### Limit bookings

If players are allowed to change their bookings, we have now introduced two additional restrictions that can be set. This is done under Settings / Permissions.

#### Limit with time

You can now set that you will not be able to cancel a booking a certain number of hours before the game.

#### Limit by number

It is now possible to set the number of cancellations that each player or team can make per round. The system thus keeps count and prevents rebooking or cancellation if the number is reached.

### Performance improvements

We have significantly improved the performance when it comes to managing bookings in the control panel. Especially when you publish a match schedule, or if you cancel many matches at the same time.

## Other

In addition to the main points above, we have of course made several bug fixes and improvements.

We have also expanded our domains for other countries. We have added **liguesys.fr** which is translated into French. We have also added **ligasys.es** and will soon translate to Spanish. In addition, we have a new domain **league.systems** which is the global domain in English. This will replace today's league-systems.com.

#### Our current domains

* League.systems *(English)*
* Ligaspel.se *(Swedish)*
* Ligaspill.nu *(Norwegian)*
* Ligaspil.dk *(Danish)*
* Peliliigat.fi *(Finnish)*
* Liguesys.fr *(French)*
* Ligasys.es *(Spanish - coming soon)*

# Version 21.01

February 2021

This version is loaded with new features for both players and administrators. Below is a list of those that are worth noting.

### Faster table pages and tables that updates automatically

The table pages have been made faster so that it does not load so long before it is displayed. In addition, the tables update themselves while you look at them when new results are registered or removed.

This can be good if you want to open the table page in full screen mode, to view on a large screen or on a tablet during a competition.

![Table page in full screen mode](/files/-MT1xtjM4TRsucDF_Zvo)

### Select available times

For those who have the booking method Available times, these times are now displayed on the Start page so that it is easier to see what is available and also choose for booking.

Available times are the booking method where you add extra available times in a pool. Players can then freely rebook from this pool and their old times will be available for someone else to book. When the times approach the booked time, you can, if you want to, get an email notification about that it is time to cancel the booking. There is now also an integration with the Matchi booking system to automatically cancel the booking.

Read more about Available times [Booking methods](/administrator/settings/booking-methods).

![Some of all available times to choose](/files/-MT235E6cgciGGE6S6lC)

### Merge available time with sibling leagues

Available times are, as described above, a pool of unbooked times that players can choose from. Previously, if you had two leagues, you needed to have two different pools, one for each league.

Now you can let the players choose freely among available times, no matter which league it is. Multiple leagues can in that way have access to the same pool, and there choose from all the available times.

### Randomize levels for pyramid box leagues

When you use pyramid box leagues to divide the groups or boxes into different branches, for example 2a and 2b. Then sometimes the players do not mix well between the different branches, and the skill level on the different levels can differ greatly.

To mix the players up some more, you can now randomize the levels. This means that if you go up from 3b, it is not certain that you go up to 2b, you can just as easily end up in 2a.

&#x20;Read more about [Pyramid box leagues](/administrator/settings/pyramid-box-leagues).

### Select scoring system templates in the Control Panel

When setting up the league for the first time, it is then possible to choose a template for the scoring system. If you did not choose a template, it has not been possible to select it at a later stage. But now you can choose from the templates also inside the Control Panel under *Settings / Choose scoring system template*.

It is already possible to copy the scoring system from other leagues to which you have permission to. This can for example be useful if you create a new league and want the same scoring system as a previous one.

### New way to add results and bookings in the Control Panel

Previously, there was a separate menu for adding Results or Booked Matches. This is nog done on the same page as the table where results or bookings are displayed. In addition, you can now add both results and bookings under the Match Schedule menu. So to add a result, you now click more on Results / Registered results. As usual, all previously reported results are displayed there. To add a new result, you can click on the menu at the top right in the table Functions / Register results. Alternatively directly on the plus sign.

![New design for adding results](/files/-MT2UF4V5YzUc8nkEjSo)

### Remove multiple results

It is now possible to select multiple results and bookings and delete them all at the same time.

### Reduce reliability over time

All rated players have either low, some or high reliability depending on how many results have been reported in the past year. The problem that existed before was that if someone with a high level of reliability stopped playing completely, the reliability did not decrease. Now this is followed up continuously so that the reliability decreases over time.

### Notification when new results are registered

If you are in the system when a result is registered in the league you are watching, or in a league you are participating; then a notification is displayed in the lower right corner and then disappears after a few seconds.

### Smaller changes

* Shrink menu on mobile to show more of the screen
* New sport Beach volleyball
* Improved management for merging player accounts
* Upload logo in transparent png format
* Confirm before the round is published
* Possibility to unpublish rounds
* Possibility to delete leagues
* Show sibling leagues in the player menu
* Template for Americano to 24

# Version 20.08

October 2020

### Pyramid box league

![](/files/-MIStC8XhECSwJN2p_b7)

In this version, there is true support for pyramid box leagues. There are those who have played according to this principle before, but then they have only renamed the divisions and then had to move the participants manually to the correct division between rounds.

By "true" support it means that now participants are automatically moved to the correct division. If you have many divisions, this makes it much easier and the risk of mistakes is reduced.

The advantage of playing pyramid box leagues compared to a regular straight box league, is that it goes faster to climb from the bottom to the top. You do not have to go through all the divisions but instead climb between levels.

**Read more about** [**Pyramid Box Leagues**](/administrator/settings/pyramid-box-leagues)

### **Booking methods (previously Fixed match schedule)**

![](/files/-MIZVp7aFGi0Qs_APtxq)

The foundation for this change has been around for a while with the name *Fixed match schedule*, but now changed to *Booking method*. In addition, the function has been improved a lot.

With the *Free choice* option, it works as usual with being able to reschedule using a calendar. But if you choose *Available times*, you get some new alternatives.

The concept of *Available times* is that the administrator books a number of extra times in the booking system. These times are specified in the system so that players only can choose between these times. A number of hours before, the time is removed and an email is sent to any address, or you can choose to actually cancel the time in the booking system (if you use Matchi). This means that when the bookings are getting closer to match date, they are released.Then the time will be available to the public to book.

**Read more about** [**Booking methods**](/administrator/settings/booking-methods)

### **Changed menu in the control panel**

Some menus have been renamed and moved a bit. Scheduled matches have, among other things, been renamed Bookings and the Show schedule has moved out to become a separate menu.

# Version 20.07

### Rotate profile picture

![](/files/-MGifW0zyKVpA_KiZpwf)

Sometimes when you take a picture, the picture thinks it was taken in landscape mode, even though it was intended as a portrait, and vice versa. When you then upload such an image, it ends up in the wrong direction. This can now be corrected under My Settings by rotating the image to the right or left.

### Leave team

![](/files/-MGiucgfLVzB5dU2SC6P)

So far, only the league administrator or team leader has been able to remove a player from a team. Now the players can leave the team themselves by clicking on the team page and the leave team button. However, this does not apply to friendship teams.\
If it is the team leader who leaves the team, the first available regular player will be the new team leader. The team leader can also hand over the role to someone else on the team.

# Version 20.06

### Book friendly game

![](/files/-MFATDHp-0GUTo_4M3h9)

It has previously been possible to register friendly game results. Now it is also possible to book the match.

With a booked friendly game, you will automatically receive a calendar booking, as well as a reminder at least 6 hours before the match. This is a good way to reduce the risk of misunderstandings. There is nothing more boring than to be ready on the court, but without an opponent.

When the match has been played and the result is to be registered, then most of the information is already filled in. This makes it super easy to register the result.

You can booking a friendly game by going to your profile page via [go.league-systems.com](http://go.league-systems.com), or via the ["app"](/player/faq/is-there-an-app). At the Book Match menu, you can then select Friendly game. There you add all players in each team, and enter the time that is booked. If it's a team sport, you just add more players through the plus sign icon.

Please note that the actual booking of the court is made through the respective facility's booking system.

### Similar rating

![](/files/-MFAVoXejoFAi88dldvD)

For each player who has entered an active city and has a rating score, you can see players with similar rating in the same area. If you click on Show more, you will get to the ranking list for the current area.

### Updated team ID's

We have made a fundamental change in the system which means that all teams have got new IDs. This does not matter much if you click through the system. But if there are old links, for example in emails, they lead you to a page saying that the team does not exists.

# Version 20.05

### Updated maps

![](/files/-MBwvDkIR3T5TZbRWb0Q)

The maps where you search for [leagues](https://leagues-system.com/find/competition/) and [facilities](https://leagues-system.com/find/place/) are updated so that you can filter by area to more easily find what is interesting. \
We have also changed map provider from Google maps to OpenStreetMap.

### Ranking per area

![](/files/-MBwwP3OoprSDZJ1Jnz4)

It is now possible to see ranking lists for different areas per sport. To be included in the list, you must have some or high reliability (ie played at least 5 matches) and entered an Active city under My settings. Check out <https://league-systems.com/rating/>.

### Stripped tables

If you want to show the league tables on your club's website through so-called iframes (website in the website), you can now do this without showing the menu and footer from League-Systems.com. This makes the tables look like beeing a part of your own page. If this would be interesting, contact <support@league-systems.com>.

# Version 20.04

### Rating

In order to be able to evaluate players and teams skill level, we have introduced rating. An opponent with a high rating is usually expected to win against a player with a low rating. If the result in a match is expected, fewer rating points are awarded than if it is an unexpected result.

![](/files/-M4J0RYeGPTXTkFt-xTB)

We have moved away the internal currency Lira to the profile menu. Instead, we have placed the rating in its place so that you can clearly see the players and teams rating.

![](/files/-M4J0dHXK1SgDrB2rJ6-)

Read more at the [Rating section](/player/rating).

# Version 20.03

### Create new players when adding results for friendly games

![](/files/-M1fvUqvueTk7GQtSeCK)

When registering friendly games, you can search for any team mate or opponent. If some player does not have a user account, you can now create an account for the player, and at the same time add the player to the match.

# Version 20.02

* Manage team members (change and remove)
* More clearly see that you are in queue, and leave queue
* Updated Americano formula
* League-systems.com as an app (ish)

### Manage team members

Now as a team leader you can do more than just add players. You can also change roles, remove players or change team leaders. Read more in the FAQ [How do I manage players in a team?](/player/faq/manage-team-players)

![](/files/-M-u_rsjhIV6wKF629UB)

### More clearly see that you are in queue, and leave queue

When you apply to join a league you can now see that you are in queu. You can also leave the queue if you no longer want to stay. Note that if you are playing in a team, it is the team that leaves the queue.

When someone leaves the queue, an email is sent to the league's administrators.

![](/files/-M-u_wqoaCBzxVlkNHEX)

### Updated Americano formula

After input from users, we have updated the formula for generating Americano match schedules. The game form where you compete as an individual player but play double, with a new partner every match.

After the update, you will play with all players 1 time, and have all players as opponents 2 times. This is true for 4n and 4n + 1 players (4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13 etc).

There is support for 4 - 60 players in each division. With unlimited number of divisions. But normally you play with 4, 8 or 16 players in each division.

### League-Systems.com as an app (ish)

If using the App means you can quickly tap an icon on the home screen and get directly into full screen mode to your player profile page. Then you have it, if you have iPhone (> iOS 13) or Android.

Read more about how to [install the app](/player/faq/is-there-an-app).

# Version 20.01

* Rotating Partners (Americano) \[Beta]
* Updated scheduling
* New look when reporting results
* New look when booking match
* Round countdown
* Swap time and location between matches
* Subscribe to calendar feed
* Norwegian translation&#x20;
* Increased fee to 20 Lira

### Rotating Partners (Americano) \[Beta]

This is a popular match system, especially in Padel. That means signing up to a league as a lone player, but playing their matches in teams - double. For each match you rotate so that everyone is assigned a new partner and then of course new opponents. Traditionally, this is played as a tournament. But now it is also possible to play this game as a box league. So those players with the highest score go up a division and those with the lowest score roll down.

The match system is perfect if you want to get to know new people or network. For example, start a corporate league and play with all the players in your division and get to know all of them. The system can handle any number of players per division. But you have to be at least 4 and some numbers are not evenly distributed. This applies to the number of the formula 4x + 3. That is, 7, 11, 15, 19 and so on.

To set this up, you just create a new league as usual but choose team type Rotating partners.

Note that it is a Beta version and may need to be trimmed a bit before it works perfectly. But the important pieces are in place.

### Updated scheduling

The process for generating the match schedule is completely rebuilt. But there should be no major differences in functionality for the user. There is a new setting - "Only one match per week and participant". It is normally marked and means that each participant (player or team) may only play one match per week. If you uncheck this, you are allowed to play several matches per week.

### New look when reporting results

![](/files/-Ly94aX58SiWqarpCwME)

The result registration has got a new look and some new functionality. We have reduced the number of dropdown lists and replaced the reporting of, for example, game results with buttons to simplify. Especially for mobile users. Hopefully this will both clarify and speed up reporting.

### New look when booking match

![](/files/-Ly95CrQEnqeL0jM08O_)

The look and feel are similar to result registration. A new thing for both of them, is that when you choose which match you want to handle, you choose with buttons to make it easier for mobile users.

### Round countdown

One minor detail is that for each round, there is a countdown timer that tells you how much time it is left of the round.

### Swap time and location between matches

![](/files/-LyB0NBI03MzMVYC-JCy)

One feature that probably many administrators will like, is the ability to swap time and location between matches. You simply choose the match you want to change time from and then you choose which one you want to change to. The time and location between these matches are swapped, without the risk of entering wrong values. A calendar update is also sent out as usual.

### Subscribe to calendar feed

Unlike the regular calendar booking in the system where each booking, update or cancellation is sent via an email message (as attachment). So this is an alternative to those where the administrator has turned this functionality off or those who cannot have it of some reason. With this, you subscribe to a so-called calendar feed. This means that as soon as a change is made to the game schedule, it changes in your calendar. The disadvantage of this option is that you are not notified in the same way about changes, and that each update can take up to a day before it is synchronized.

You will find the link to the calendar feed at the bottom of "My Schedule".

### Norwegian translation

A big thank you to Lars Oraug Lottrup in Askim, who volunteered to the task of translating large parts of League-Systems.com into Norwegian. Kjempeflott!

You set the language you want under the menu "My settings".

### Increased fee to 20 Lira

The honeymoon is over. Now it will be a little tougher to have a positive cash flow in the system's internal currency. Lira has nothing to do with real money. There is only for you to buy or pay for things in the system. Right now you can purchase a feature to see your sending messages and delivery status on them. More to come.

# Version 19.05

* Lira - the new currency
* Change the league description in the Control Panel
* Bug fixes

### Lira - the new currency

A currency is introduced: Lira. You earn Lira for every match you register. Every month, Lira is also drawn from the players' account. Read more under [What is Lira?](broken://pages/-Ld5SFu7TjZgRi1BlOev)

### Change the league description

In the Control Panel under Settings you can now change the league description.

# Version 19.04

* More information in email messages
* Better performance
* Team leaders can add players
* Smaller bug fixes

### More information in email messages

Calendar bookings and reminders have been enriched with more information, such as Match-Id and court.

### Better performance

We have, among other things, made the profile images more efficient. This means for example that the table page loads faster.

### Team leaders can add players

Normally, you need to ask the administrator for help to add players to one team. But now also team leaders can do this. This is done on the team page at the Team Members box.

![](/files/-LcWzLyP6DnLV-s0WFcQ)

# Version 19.03

* Improvements and bug fixes&#x20;
* Better match overview, regardless of status
* Each match has a unique ID
* Clearer schedule
* A new page for divisions
* Better support for many meetings in the same round
* Capture e-mail bouncing

### Better match overview, regardless of status

Previously there were registered matches in one place and booked matches in another place. If there was neither a booked or registered match, it could be difficult get an overview of all matches.

Now you can see all matches in a much clearer way. You see all the matches in the same place and you can see if the match is play, booked or unbooked.

Regardless of the status of the match or if the match is rebooked, each match now has a unique ID that is the same throughout the whole round.

![](/files/-La0C_kXplJxYrrWEXGW)

### Clearer schedule

This is related to the point above. But there is now a menu to come directly to their schedule. And if you are in several leagues then you see all the matches in this schedule.

![](/files/-La0I8yLaLGb3x9FBgZk)

### A new page for divisions

Each division now has its own page where you can see all the matches that will be played within the division. It is also possible to click back and forth between the divisions according to the marking in the picture.

![](/files/-La0I7DoWDfMSdenmHN2)

### Better support for many meetings in the same round

Double meetings existed previously unofficially. But now it works better and there is support for up to 20 meetings per round. This you can change in the control panel under Settings.

![](/files/-La0IjqPpIaPihBalRHx)

### Capture e-mail bouncing

If emails sent from Ligaspel bounce due to incorrect email address or something else, the player can be deactivated. Then no more emails are sent to the player. You can then correct the address and it will work again. Should the address be incorrectly deactivated, then just contact the support and we will help you out
